Summer is almost upon us and alot of the good tv shows are wrapping up for the season (Lost, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, South Park… just to name a few). So what’s there to look forward to on the boob-tube this summer? Well from what I can see.. not a whole lot. It’s definitely slim pickings until the fall season when most of the big hits are scheduled to return.
On the bright side; the lack of tv shows is a positive thing, nothing to distract you from enjoying all the nice sunny weather. However for those occasional rainy days and boring summer nights when you find a lack of booze and BBQs here are some of the shows you can look forward to.

PENN & TELLER: BULLSHIT!

Penn & Teller: Bullshit! is a documentary television series on Showtime. It is hosted by professional magicians/comedians Penn & Teller. Many episodes aim to debunk what the hosts see as pseudoscientific ideas, supernatural beliefs, popular fads and misconceptions, and often from a libertarian point of view, the political philosophy espoused by both Penn and Teller. The show criticizes proponents of what they perceive as nonsense and dishonesty—bullshit—often citing ulterior political or financial motives.
The stated aim of the show is to apply critical thinking to misconceptions, and as is indicated by the show’s title, the program adheres to Penn & Teller’s characteristically blunt, aggressive presentation.
Penn Jillette has mentioned some topics for the upcoming season include “Orgasms”, “Astrology” and “2012″.
Season 7 will premiere June 25, 2009.
